Biography

I am a PhD candidate and a Teaching Assistant in the French Department at the University of Virginia. My thesis investigates the poetics of North African Francophone poetry. I argue that my dissertation’s corpus, while written in French, is infused with multiple languages and inscribes within the Arabo-Islamic literary and mystical tradition. My research interests include translinguism, plurilinguism, translation, metalanguage and intertextuality.
