Class of 2023 French major publishes first book 

Special congratulations are in order for the new graduate, Eric Flannagan, who not only received his BA degree at the French House Graduation ceremony on May 20, 2023, after a long hiatus from UVA, but who has also just published his first book, Moving Medusa, a memoire about the Madison House Big siblings Program and growing up in Charlottesville.  Published by Olympia Publishers Eric’s memoire will appear in bookstores later this month (29 June 2023) and will certainly interest French majors familiar with the Madison House Volunteer Programs as well as those curious about the events that led to Eric’s recent travels in Europe and Central Asia.  For more details about the book and its author see:  https://olympiapublishers.com/books/moving-medusa
