About the program
The French SLI is an immersive language program designed for students with minimal or no prior knowledge of French. At the end of its 8-week long learning journey, you will have reached the intermediate level and you will have earned 12 credits on your transcript. For UVA students, that means completion of your language requirement and, perhaps, continuation to the upper-level French classes. Whether you're part of the UVA community or joining us just for the summer, we hope that the French SLI will be rewarding and fulfilling, opening new academic and professional pathways for you, as well as new exciting life experiences.
