Congrats to Prof. Liz Hall, who is also the Director of the Institute of World Languages, for the recent news of a major grant awarded by the Jefferson Trust:
Languages across the Curriculum Pilot Program
Institute of World Languages
This grant aims to pilot a Languages across the Curriculum program, creating 1-credit companion courses conducted in foreign languages in a range of disciplines and schools across the UVA curriculum. The goals of the pilot are to give students the opportunity to use their language skills, to encourage in-depth academic exploration, and to create connections between disciplines by investigating a discipline via new perspectives.
