Gabriela is an incoming first-year doctoral student and is interested in 16th and 17th century French literature. She intends to deepen her understanding of humanism and of the texts it generated, but also learn more about the French/Francophone literary canon in general. The presence of music in French literature is another area of interest, as well as how Poland is represented in French texts. 

Prior to UVA, Gabriela was an English Assistant in Thizy-les-Bourgs, France teaching middle and high school students.
