Vaino is a second-year student on the Ph.D track. He completed his undergraduate studies in the areas of French and Medieval Studies at the University of Virginia. Vaino's research interests include intersections of gender and religion in the Middle Ages and literary motifs of the biblical fall of man. He is also passionate about the academic study of video games (fantasy RPGs in particular) as art objects and archival work concerning rare books.
