UVa French will be hosting a day-long workshop, "Freedom and Unfreedom: Global French Connections through Art, History, and Culture from Reunion Island, Haiti, and West Africa," on Saturday, September 27. This workshop, designed for Virginia high school French teachers, will include talks and discussions led by UVa faculty members and focusing on two exciting exhibits: "The Surprising Story of Furcy Madeleine" (Shannon LIbrary) and "Haiti's Time" (Fralin Art Museum).
