On Saturday, Oct. 4, the UVa French House welcomed around 40 of its former residents back to grounds to celebrate four decades of students living and learning in the Maison. Colleagues from the department and current residents mingled with our guests over lunch at the House and even had a chance to listen to an impromptu concert/storytelling hour performed by noted alum, novelist and musician Ritt Deitz. Later that evening, around 100 people gathered at the Boar's Head Resort for a celebratory dinner where we heard former residents regale us with tales of the Maison from years past.
