Jeanne Heloise Dugnat

Visiting Instructors

I’m Jeanne-Héloïse, as my name can tell I’m from France and I’ll be here for a year as a French instructor. I lived in several places: Lyon, Marseille, Grenoble, Valence in France, Saarbrücken in Germany and Coventry in the UK!

I love to discover the world so that’s why I’m here. In France, I studied English literature, politics and history to become a teacher. Now I’m doing a research master’s degree on the depiction of social classes through films. I’ve already taught in middle school and in a cinema school and I loved it!

In my free time I love to travel: this year I’ve been to the Canary Islands, Hungary, Ukraine for humanitarian aid, Istanbul (Turkey) and Canada. I’m also part of a few NGOs such as CISV or Amnesty International where I’ve been involved for several years now.

Even though I studied the US a lot in France, it’s my first time here, and I’m very glad to discover this country!
