Roxanne Ewoudou

Doctoral Student

Roxanne Ewoudou is a PhD student specializing in contemporary francophone literature. Her research focuses on how modern women writers from African French-speaking countries depict affective disorders, particularly depression. She investigates how these portrayals critique postcolonial states and patriarchal structures and examines how literature can confront the taboo surrounding mental health, offering pathways to address and heal intergenerational postcolonial trauma.
