Roxanne Ewoudou Same is a third-year doctoral candidate whose work explores the poetics of trauma in Francophone African and Caribbean literature and cinema. Her research examines how narrative forms interact with representations of trauma, and how artistic forms contribute to understanding the specific experiences of trauma shaped by colonization and its aftermath.
