Last Thursday, the Department of French was delighted to welcome almost 30 high school students of French from Westfield and Chantilly high schools in Northern Virginia. These students had a chance to visit grounds with some of our most dynamic undergraduate French majors, shared lunch with students and faculty at the Maison Française, and attended six mini-seminars run by faculty on topics as diverse as French graphic novels, francophone cinema, French for Business, the magic of film, poetic love, and France during World War II. A lovely time was had by all, and we hope to see at least some of these students back on grounds at some point in the future.
