Biography :
Katelyn holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in French Language and Literature from North Carolina State University. Her research explores feminist and cognitive approaches to literature in the 20th and 21st centuries, with particular interest in how gender stereotypes influence readers to draw irrational conclusions about suspects in mystery writing. At NC State, she was a research assistant for the Department of Sociology and Anthropology (2020-2023), analyzing governmental documents and interviews on agriculture in Burgundy, France. She lived in Lyon, France where she worked as an English lecturer at l’Université Lumière Lyon 2 (2023-2024).
