Aurelian Moge

Salut !

I am a graduate student in the Department of Social Sciences at the École Normale Supérieure (ENS) in Paris. I am currently taking a gap year from my master's program in statistical methods applied to the social sciences. I have worked on various subjects using quantitative methods, such as health inequalities, environmental vulnerabilities, and class- and gender-based domination. However, I am also interested in mixed methods of research. For instance, I have studied the history of bioethics in France using archival materials. 

In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer (and other team sports !), watching movies, reading books, hiking in the nature, biking in the city, taking photographs in urban environments, and having discussions and debates with others. My research interests have led me to explore many related fields and disciplines. I am deeply interested in philosophy, history, economics, and mathematics. This year, I would like to try new sports, to meet new people, and to explore different hobbies. Academically, I would like to study subjects related to climate and the environment from an interdisciplinary perspective. 

I am also passionate about teaching and languages. Before coming to UVa, I taught French and other subjects in various settings, including as a volunteer. Currently, I am teaching French 2020 at UVa.
